Abstract

Incidence of multiple births is increasing in the USA. There are reports from animal studies that multiple births may occur more commonly in the colder climate because of survivability in of multiple ovulations in the colder ambient temperature. The purpose of this study is to determine the distribution of multiple births in the USA with relation to latitude.
