Human myoblast chromosome painting (Chrs 2 and 18)
Creators
Description
These files represent microscopy images of various in vitro cultured human cell lines that had specific chromosomes 'painted', allowing for their visualization. All cells had their nuclei stained and visualized as well, using the nuclear stain DAPI. Chromosomes were visualized using commercially available 'chromosome paints' using fluorescent in situ hybridization protocols (see referenced publication for full technical details). A given cell visualization experiment has 2 entries, indicated by either '0' or '1' in the file name: one for the chromosome paint, and one for DAPI. All images are meant to be viewed in the free FIJI imaging software.

Technical info (English)
All file names follow the following convention:
MAX_(celltype name)_(C#).(date).czi – C = (0 or 1)
Naming key:
- MAX
- refers to images being 'maximum projections' of a three dimensional image
- Celltype name
- MB = human myoblast
- MT = human myotube
- RD = RD rhabdomyosarcoma cell line
- RH30 = RH30 rhabdomyosarcoma cell line
- SMS = SMS-CTR rhabdomyosarcoma cell line
- C#
- indicates which chromosome is being visualized (ie. 'C2' means chromosome 2, 'C18' means chromosome 18)
- Date
- indicates the date the images were collected
- C = (0 or 1)
- indicates the microscopy channel for each image ('0' should be the chromosome paint image, and '1' should be the DAPI image)
